Corn Dog Review
June 20, 2010, 12:32pm
During our trip to the park in mid-June for the World of Color, we had to try one of the infamous corn dogs. Here is our initial reaction.
This corn dog is much like any other that you'd probably had, but with a few minor and important differences.
First, it's much larger. In fact, it envelopes virtually the entire stick so there's very little to hold on to. It's made fresh, and the surface texture shows this (it's like the difference between a machine-stamped Oreo cookie vs. a unique homemade cookie). And lastly, the exterior coating is like an entire dinner serving of cornbread, and the juicy hot dog inside is perfectly propotioned.
If you're looking for a quick and not-so-healthy snack in the park for a few bucks, I'd recommend this. But sometimes the line to the corn dog stand can be pretty long, and 15 minutes waits are not unheard of.
