{Princess Jasmine} is the daughter of the Sultan of Agrabah, where her 16th birthday is only days away and, by law, she must be married. However, she wants nothing more than to turn her back on tradition so she can find someone that she loves before being wed. She lives a rather sheltered life, never having left the palace walls and wanting to see what life is like from a commoner's view.

Jasmine's voice in the movie is performed by Linda Larkin and her songs are performed by Lea Salonga.
