The death of Simba's father left the poor lion cub devastated. If that wasn't bad enough, Simba's uncle, Scar tricks the little cub into thinking it was his fault. Unable to face his family with this news, he decides to run away from the kingdom and spends years growing up in the jungle. Along the way, Simba makes friends with several interesting characters including the eccentric Timon and Pumbaa.

While living his life in exile, he comes across a childhood friend, Nala, who convinces him to return to the land where he came from to save his family and friends from the wrath of the evil Scar and his hyenas.
